Nadia Lazaridou graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. After her internship in the architectural practice of Aristotelis Dimitrakopoulos in Athens in 2015, she pursued a Master of Science “MSc Renewable Energy and Architecture” at the University of Nottingham , School of Architecture and Built Environment, in the United Kingdom. She graduated in 2016 with distinction. She started her professional career in the United Kingdom at GT3 Architects, an architectural practice based in Nottingham. She started as a Part II architectural Assistant and within her 5 years within the practice she developed into Project Architect. She worked across a range of sectors including sports and leisure as well as residential, commercial, civic, workspace and mixed-use developments. She was fully responsible about each of the projects from the feasibility study up to the planning application. Except from the architectural design she was managing the projects both internally and externally with the rest of the consultants as well as with the client teams. In 2020 she was a finalist in the WICE Awards in the category “Best Young Woman Architect”. At the same time she was leading ongoing research on how building biology, PassivHaus, biophilic design and sustainable principles can be applied into leisure centres. She was also a mentor to young apprentices and Architecture Ambassador to the RIBA Learning’s National School programme. In 2021 she returned to Athens where she worked at Pieris.Architects, where she gained knowledge on the greek legislation and planning permits as well as in the architectural design of luxury villas in the suburbs. From 2022, she has been working at MK Michanikoi Mikonou as head of the Architectural Department and other than the architectural design she is also responsible for the issue of the planning permits.
